What Is Membership

"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ."

— 1 Corinthians 12:12

At St. Paul, membership is more than putting your name on a roll. It's a covenant — a commitment to belong, to grow, and to serve alongside this church family.

Members worship together, learn together, give together, and care for one another in Jesus' name. They have a voice in the church's direction, a place at the table, and a community that prays for them by name.

Whatever season of faith you're in — long-time believer, brand new in Christ, somewhere in between — there's a place for you here.

The Path

Three steps to becoming a member.

i.

Visit & Discover

Come to a Sunday service. Get to know the church family, hear Pastor Johnson preach, and experience worship at St. Paul.

ii.

Talk With Pastor

When you're ready, schedule a conversation with Pastor Johnson or a deacon. We'll talk about faith, your story, and what membership at St. Paul looks like.

iii.

Right Hand of Fellowship

On a Sunday, you'll be welcomed into the church family. The congregation extends the right hand of fellowship — a tradition of formal welcome.

Ways to Join

Different paths, same family.

i.

By Profession of Faith

For those making a first-time profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We'll walk with you through baptism and welcome you into the church.

ii.

By Christian Experience

For believers who were baptized at another church but are joining St. Paul as their new church home.

iii.

By Letter

For members of another Baptist church transferring their membership. We'll request your letter from your previous church.

iv.

For Restoration

For those returning to St. Paul or to the church after time away. You're always welcome home.
